Learn how to share content during a meeting.

1. Share content using a cable

When you're connected in a video conference room, you can share content from your computer into the meeting. You'll see it on the screen in the room and remote participants will also see it.

​

  1. Find the connection cable for your screen. This is usually an HDMI or VGA cable, but will depend on the equipment on your room.

  2. Connect the cable to your computer

2. Share content wirelessly in a video conference room

​

When you're connected to a meeting in a video conference room, you can share content wirelessly. You'll see it on the screen in the room and remote participants will also see it.

​

To do this you'll need:

​

  • A Windows or Mac computer. Tablets and smartphones aren't currently supported.

  • An internet connection

Share wirelessly using Skype for Business

​

  1. Click the Skype meeting link in your invite or copy it into Skype for Business

  2. Start a video call by selecting the Video icon (mute your audio/video if in a VC room)

  3. Select the share content button and choose the desktop or window to share

​

Share wirelessly using a WebRTC capable browser (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)

  1. Open the 'Join a Meeting' link at the top of the page and select the 1st option

  2. Enter the meeting ID and select 'Join as Guest'

  3. Enter your name

  4. Select Management and Presentation and then Join Meeting

  5. Select the Share Screen icon and choose the desktop or window to share

 

TIP: Issues with content quality in Chrome? Try disabling hardware acceleration in your Chrome browser.​

3. Share content using a browser or video client

​

When you're connected to a meeting, you can share content on your screen with others in the meeting. Sharing content works with:

​

  • Cisco Jabber or Skype for Business. This also allows content and the meeting video to be display on separate screens.

  • WebRTC Firefox browser client.

  • WebRTC Chrome browser client. This requires the Chrome desktop sharing extension to be installed.

To share content:

​

  1. Select the content sharing button or option

  2. Choose your desktop or window to share

​
